Larry has been “on the mats” for 24 years, beginning with Shorin Ryu in High School and Kempo following his college graduation in Boston.  Upon arriving in Atlanta in 1985, Larry began studying Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan with Kim, Tung Moon as a member of the International Tang Soo Do Federation, where he earned his Edan and his first Kyo Sa certificate.  In 1989, he earned the “student of the year” award from Grand Master Kim and had the opportunity to spar on the school team in the International competition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, under Grandmaster Kim, Chun Sik.

After beginning in Hapkido with Master James Allison of the U.S. Hapkido Sun Moo Kwan Association, Larry again earned a Kyo Sa certificate and ran schools in Atlanta, GA, Louisville, KY and Knoxville, TN.  Through these venues, Larry has taught for the Red Cross, The Boy Scouts, The Girl Scouts and others.

Larry currently holds the rank of Sa Dan in Hapkido and is a member of the United States Korean Martial Arts Federation under Grand Master JR West.
